Polar Fleece is made from polyester, and is part of the stretch knit family of fabrics. Twisted yarns are knitted into fabric. Then a series of wire brushes rough up the surface and create the nap. Finally, the fabric is sheared.

This fabric is soft, comfortable, warm, quick-drying, durable and offers tremendous warmth in comparison to its weight.

A new generation of Polar fleece - Microfleece has become especially popular because of its tighter knit, less bulk, softer hand and greater resistance to pilling. Microfleece has the same technical qualities of fleece but it looks a little higher-end. It's sheared down to make it less bulky and more drapey
